| Barbara would like to welcome you to her home in the picturesque market town of Dolgellau situated in the heart of Wales beautiful Snowdonia National Park in the lee of Cader Idris mountain. Rhinog and Arenig mountain ranges lie all around the town. Bala and the Berwyn mountains aren’t far away and can also easily be reached from the town. Aber Cottage itself is next to the river Wnion and is superbly situated near to the Mawddach trail, Torrent walk, Precipice walk to name but a few of the walks. Coed-y-Brenin forest with it’s popular forest trails and boasts to being one of the leading mountain bike centers in Europe is also very near. The guesthouse is ideally situated in the town and within easy walking distance to excellent restaurants and inns. Guests will appreciate the ambience of the traditional stone cottage that benefits from good quality furniture and fittings for your comfort, with modern en suite facilities to all rooms, TV, internet access, complimentary tea/coffee, complimentary toiletries etc. Car parking is in our own private car park with secure access. Hikers, climbers, mountain bikers and other adventure pursuit guests are all very welcome; they will find secure storage for their equipment, and facilities to clean up before returning home. For those just wanting to take in the beautiful countryside Dolgellau is surrounded by spectacular landscape which will take your breath away. If you fancy a visit to the coast, the beautiful sandy beaches of Fairbourne and Barmouth are only a few miles away. The guest sitting room and dining room has been decorated in a traditional style and walls are all decorated with the owners paintings, as is the rest of the house, including guest bedrooms. There is a traditional style upholstered suite in the sitting room for guests to relax in at any time. The dining room has a built in breakfast bar where guests can help themselves to cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit and fresh juice before giving Barbara their hot breakfast order. The dining tables and chairs are all comfortable and modern. While guests await their freshly prepared hot breakfasts they may want feast their eyes on the owners art work which is created in her on site studio. ROOM TARIFFRoom 1 This room is priced at £30pppn for 3 people or more. Two people occupying this room would incur an extra charge of £10. This room is not available for single occupancy. Room 2 This room is priced at £33pppn. Single occupancy is £43. Room 3 This room is priced at £30pppn. Single occupancy is £40.

Room 1 The Bouguereau Room is furnished with a double bed & two single beds. The room features a double aspect with one of the windows leading directly to a fire escape. The wall between the windows has the stone chimney breast exposed as a feature. The rooms furniture includes 2 wardrobes, 3 bedside cabinets with lamps, a table holding the complimentary tea/coffee tray, two upholstered bedroom chairs. The en-suite bathroom has an extra large modern shower, WC and sink. Room 2 The Degas room is a double room that has been furnished with a comfortable modern divan bed. It is possible to view Cader Idris from this room when the weather allows it through the two wooden sash windows. The furniture includes a bedside table with lamp, upholstered bedroom chair, a wardrobe, two further tables.The en-suite bathroom has a modern shower, WC and sink. Room 3 The Vermeer room is the smallest double room that has been furnished with a comfortable modern divan bed. The sash window overlooks the town.
